The presentation of the book “Heydar Aliyev: 100 Moments from His Life” took place in Chișinău

 

The National Museum of the History of Moldova hosted the presentation of the book “Heydar Aliyev: 100 Moments from His Life,” an event organized at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova.

The book, published in Romanian language, was written by Academician Emil Nasirli. 

The event was attended by political and cultural figures from the Republic of Moldova, including the country’s second president, Petru Lucinschi, former Minister of Culture Monica Babuc, former Ombudsman Aurelia Grigoriu, president of the Azmol Group holding company Vugar Novruzov and deputy director of the National Museum of History of Moldovaand Olga Andranovici.

In his speech, Ambassador Ulvi Bakhshaliyev emphasized that the publication of this book in Romanian language will enable the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to access information about the life of Heydar Aliyev and his contribution to the development of modern Azerbaijan. 

Former President Petru Lucinschi shared with the audience his memories of working alongside the Azerbaijani leader, both during the Soviet era and in the years following the two countries’ independence. Petru Lucinschi recalled his official visits to Azerbaijan and the warm atmosphere of the bilateral meetings during that period.

The other guests of honor spoke about the historical significance of Heydar Aliyev and the prospects for strengthening cultural ties between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
